（檳城）名英祠中最神秘的面紗——英壽堂終於在喬治市入遺日揭開了！
在名英祠修復後對外開放參觀時，一向都只允許參觀者在一樓活動，至於二樓供奉天地會始祖的“英壽堂”，從來就是禁地。
不過為了今年的喬治市入遺日，這個神秘的面紗終於被揭開了，民眾也有機會更深入瞭解這座充滿歷史事蹟和典故的建築物。
林宗逸：義興公司遺址
名英祠展現患難扶持
檳州各姓氏宗祠聯委會主席林宗逸向民眾講解名英祠的歷史。他說，名英祠是檳城最早成立的華人會社，即義興公司的遺址。

他說，在蒐集資料過程中，發現名英祠樓上的英壽堂是洪門天地會在海外僅存的洪門基地，英壽堂上供奉著洪門始祖洪英和第二支流“壽”房領袖方大洪的塑像。
他說，到名英祠將能體會先人的篳路襤褸，也能感受先人當年離開家園漂泊異鄉患難與共互相扶持的偉大胸懷。
當天除了名英祠及英壽堂開放讓民眾參觀之外，義福街的街頭巷尾變身為民初至60年代的“戲棚”佈置，讓民眾體驗“先賢來時路”。
街頭民俗活動非常豐富，包括非常有特色和古早味的小食攤、各家宗祠展現風格各异的宗祠資料展覽及宗情互動活動、姓氏概說及尋根活動、月琴彈唱街頭流動表演、精彩文化表演及手藝品展售。
“冠英別怕，我們信你！”
