CM Lim Guan Eng

Now PgGov has approved for developers to build up to a plot ratio of 2.8, what this means is if your land is 10000 sq ft , u can built total nett area of 28000 sq ft , it does not matter how high your building goes.

NO HEIGHT RESTRICTION IN PENANG ISLAND, exception, Jessolton, Western Rd, near the Governors mansion and few small pockets.

To be approved for this 2.8 plot ratio, the developer has to build and sell 5% of total units at a price below RM200 000; 10% of total units at a selling price of below RM500 000; 5% of total units at a selling price of below RM300 000..

So the developer will build a 200 sq ft studio apartment and sell it below 200 000 Ringgit. Property prices in town, will be close to 1000 soon. WHAT AFFORDABLE HOUSING IS THIS ?? How does a family of 3 live in a 200 to 300 sq ft apartment.

Further, Penang have very clever developers who have super intelligent lawyers, QC, Barristers and solicitors who have already thought them how to skirt the law. Sell this unit to a friendly party, and then re sell it again so simple. Can the Pg Gov patrol this ??

BN dont be cocky as you guys have problems with the current LMCs' as well during your time.

Penang's housing board, started ?? moving full steam ahead ?? Legislation tabled and gazetted , my memory 31 July 2011 ??

In CM's speech at YB Chow's Malaysia day fund raising dinner, CM informed us that he will be implementing a housing board in Penang equivalent or better then Singapores'. We are looking forward and support this move.

This is the way to go. This will curb abuse by errant irresponsible developers.

Thank you for a new MALAYSIA.
